FRANKENLUST TOWNSHIP Delta College is hosting a live webcam of its courtyard renovation project through its completion in August.
The nearly $500,000 overhaul of the campus courtyard, which began May 2, saw the addition of several new trees Friday.
Larry Ramseyer, Delta College director of facilities management, said a lot has been accomplished in the first month and a half of work: the existing overgrown trees have been removed, much of their root systems pulled out, a new lawn irrigation system installed and work on restoring the concrete pond has begun.
In the next month or so, Ramseyer said construction crews will finish installing the trees, plant a variety of shrubberies and perennials, install a new lighting system, complete work on the concrete pond and put in new sidewalks.
Delta College has contracted with WH Canon Co., of Romulus, for the courtyard project.
