When it comes to setting goals Aurealia Johnson “goes hard”. She’s got big plans for the future and to achieve these goals it’s going to take no less than 100% of her effort and focus. Accomplishing goals aren’t just about the individual though. Sometimes it’s about showing those around you what they can accomplish if they put their mind to it. This is especially true when you are the first person in your family to attend college.
Aurealia Johnson is our fourth winner of the Get Schooled Celebrity Text Challenge and she is already making good on her goals. In her goal-setting text she told us:
“I want to finish the transfer program from my community college with a 3.5 or higher GPA then I intend to attend an historically black university. From my HBCU I plan to graduate with a degree in either law or psychology.”
Our Wisconsin winner graduated from Madison West High School this year and will be attending Madison Area Technical College, making her the first member of her family to attend college. She told us reaching this goal is important because her brother and sister and her little cousin really look up to her and she wants to show them that anything is possible.
She thought the Text Challenge would be cool to enter because setting big goals motivates you to achieve big things. Also, as a fan of Monica and Trey Songz, it was hard for her to pass up the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ask them some real questions about life and lessons learned.
When she does get the chance to text with her celebrity there are several questions about college shed like to ask. She’d like to know:
Did you go to college and if you did what was your experience like?
If you didn’t, what school would you have gone to?
What was your favorite subject in school?
Some great question for sure! Congratulations to Aureulia, we love what you are doing! Make sure you let us all know how the text-session goes.
